Every golf bag should have one wedge that you can be sure will get you out of trouble. The new XL- B model wedge does just that. It is designed with features to get you out of the sand and rough more easily than you thought possible.

On these types of shot the face is open and  the toe of the club does not cross in front of the heel on a well struck  shot. To better fit this type of shot,  the lie of the club is flatter. This change exposes the proper section of the sole to the sand or rough.

Since the swing speed of these shots is much slower than the full swings from the fairway, a heavier steel shaft is used  in these  wedges. The heavier shaft increases the inertia at these slower swing speeds and gives the club the power to cut through the toughest sand and rough.

These wedges have the optimal sole design for sand and rough. The sole of these wedges have 8 degrees of bounce in the center of the sole and a tapering  off  to zero degrees of bounce at both the toe and the heel of the club.  This ensures that the center of the contact is at the balance point of the head. All the wedges in the B series have this same sole design. That means you can use any of them a Sand wedge.  If you want your sand shots to get up in the air as quickly as possible and have the least roll on the green, choose the Lw at 60 degree loft. If you want a lower trajectory with more roll on the green, choose the Sw at 55 degree loft.
