Balancing, Extended Black Line alignment bar The center balancing allows the force of your swing to be applied through the putters center of gravity. This removes the tendency of face to open and close when you swing that is found in putters without this feature. The extended black line alignment bar improves control of the putt's direction.
We tested several designs with the goal of
getting players to start the putt rolling on the intended
line. The best results were the new Riley Black Line putter. It's
combination of center balancing and the extended black alignment bar,
proved to be the best.
This
outperformed designs with other types of direction lines as well as
designs with round (ball-type) alignment.
